Sealing machine

Product description:
The sealing machine is designed for the sealing using a thermoplastic gasket between two electrodes in the application of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSC). It provides the user with a convenient, rapid, safe, reliable and repeatable method for the assembly of DSSC. The sealing machine is flexible and suitable for cells with the dimension of < 25 mm × 25 mm. During a selected period of time a controlled pressure and temperature can be applied. The temperature range is 20 - 399 °C and the applied pressure corresponds to 400 - 2 000 N force. A compressed air or N2 source (< 1.0 MPa) is required for operation. The machine can also be used for closing filling holes. Members of the Centre for Molecular Devices is successfully using this tool since several years.

Laboratory screen printer

Product description:
The manual table screen printer is designed to meet the requirements of DSSC research. It is easy to master and researchers can thus quickly start producing reproducible electrodes. The glass substrate can easily be mounted and efficeintly positioned using adjusting screws in x- and y-direction. With a screen size of 30 cm x 40 cm, we recommend to use the printer for substrate sizes up to 10 cm x 20 cm. In order to promote a fast and straightforward usage, the machine is delivered with a start-up kit, see below.

Compact spin coater

Product description:
DN-HM04 is a compact, versatile, user-friendly table top spin coating equipment especially designed for laboratory solar cells. The small size makes it ideal for e.g. usage in a glovebox. The DN-HM04 has a user-friendly keyboard and a LED display for programming the key parameters, i.e. spin duration, spin speed (the speed resolution of 1 rpm) and acceleration. The substrate is held on a custom-made sample holder (up to 25x15 mm) and/or vacuum. The custom-made metal holder prevents the substrate from coming loose during rotation. In addition, we provide a universal sample holder in case of different sample sizes. The vacuum fixation allows usage of different substrate sizes from 10 to 100 mm. The oil-less pump is included in DN-HM04, i.e. it includes all you need to start using the equipment.

Glass cutter

Product description:
Conventional laboratory glass cutting tables require manual pressure, first in order to scratch the glass in the position where it should be cut, and subsequently in order to break the glass into two. In addition, these pieces of equipment require continuous quality control to verify that the cutting wheels are operating adequately. A consequence of this is that glass cutting is a craftsmanship requiring special skills. In most laboratories, one or a few people master these skills. Thus, it is challenging for laboratories where many people cut glass to avoid waste due to failure in glass cutting. In addition, glass pieces cut in non-exact sizes often create problems when processed into e.g. solar cell devices. DN-HM14 has been developed to avoid this problem. It is a user-friendly table top equipment where no manual pressure is involved in cutting or breaking the glass pieces. The equipment provides exact cuts with a high precision (<0.1 mm) for glass thickness of 1 to 5 mm in glass sizes from 15 mm x 15 mm up to 300 mm x 300 mm. The rubber holding clamp in combination with the millimeter-scaled size definition open for cutting bare glass as well as more challenging configurations such as several working or counter electrodes into single units.

Hole drilling equipment
